wheel spacers/non disc type rims (1 Viewer)

Ok guys I have a set of the original fj40 non disc rims that I want to put on my 1976 fj40 with disc brakes. Which is better 1.) get a set of spacers for the front or 2.) sell the non disc rims and get a set of disc type. I want to use the original rim set up because I have a brand new set of hubcaps that I bought years ago and am tired of them gathering dust in the garage.
If I go with spacers where to get them and what would they cost?
If I go with getting another set of disc type wheels what would they cost?

They will only be needed in the front.

I would get the 1/4" spacers they sell at Pep Boys. A lot of folks run these to clear 3.75" wheels on stock Cruisers.

Would it be possible to swap to 79-up steering arms? Not sure if this is possible to a 76 axle, but should certainly solve the backspacing issue without spacers.
