I just pulled the trigger on parts. I need to drive up to Slee and grab the aux tray.

@Orange Hat that's interesting that someone mounted the compressor to the aux tray. I wonder how they took care of wiring? That would seem to be a long wire run than what's included in the ARB kit. I was considering purchasing the correct Delphi Metri-Pack female adapter. However, I wasn't able to determine what came in that "5 piece package". Maybe I'd need to buy pins, and a depinning tool, or who knows what else. For the time being, I'm going to see what else I need after it all comes in.

I had considered having a "constant power" fuse block (the safetyhub) and then a switched "ignition power" fuse block that would be tripped by a 100A relay that tiers off the safety hub. But this is what I do. I make projects bigger than they should be.

Slee trays. I like them, but I don't want to get rid of my LX engine covers. Has anyone tried them on an LX with the factory covers? I asked Slee, but they said they always get rid of them and didn't check clearance.

i have my engine covers on with the ARB twin on a slee tray. However, I had to cut a small notch for the stainless air hose. Will try to grab a pic tomorrow...

I'm narrowing in on the items I need for my electrical install. Currently, I'll be purchasing:

  • Slee Accessory Tray
  • BlueSea Safety Hub 150: This should allow me to power the dual compressor, ham radio, and other accessories as they come along.
  • 2 x 40A MIDI fuses (one for each compressor)
  • 1 x 20A ATO fuse (for ham radio)
  • 150A Bussman waterproof circuit breaker
  • 10A hookup wire (for radio and maybe a rear fridge)
  • PowerPoles for ham radio and fridge
  • 2/0 Welding Cable to supply the 150A directly to the Safety Hub (probably around 15', to be safe)
  • Sheathing/split tubing for SafetyHub feed.
My concern at the moment is where can I safely mount the circuit breaker? I'm not a fan of putting it on the fuse box lid. I feel that would add extra complexity to removing that lid. I already have enough of that due to the compressor air filters. I was hoping to securely mount it on the battery hold down bar, but it's curved. Does anyone have any ideas on a better mounting solution that doesn't involve the fuse box lid?
Run a couple slightly heavier wires to the rear and add a BlueSea fuse box. Then you’ve got easy, clean, fused power available for any number of things like fridge, chargers, USB, lighting, etc.

Much less clutter, heat and cleaning nightmares under tge hood if you move that rearward.

I had considered this but I don't know where to mount the fuse box. I don't have drawers yet.

No drawers needed.

Mine is inside the rear in the largish hole below the rear side window on passenger. Slee actually mounted it there and its been very handy. I forget its there as the space has no other use.

**This is WITHOUT the cover I made, so its not normally visible like this..

I’ve also swapped out the two outlets above it.

It’s not snapped down, and the “small notch” is bigger than I remembered 😂
