I dont understand, if you dont have a starter for a core, how did you start your engine?

Technically suppose to turn in the same style starter. OP doesn't have a gear reduction starter currently.

What I don't understand is how do you own a vehicle forty years and not acquire spares. My 89 FJ62 has a gear reduction starter but none of my other cruisers run one. Even so believe I have three gear reduction starters. Not sure how many of the older style. Figure was going to hang on to a vehicle should have spares incase they become NLA. Never figured how popular this old things would be.
