never seen a factory mount like that, and it looks like yer spare is passenger side...perhaps a custom fuel can swing-mount?

cruiser_nerd's got it. that's the old hinge for a kayline carrier. they're kinda junky, but ok for weekend warrior. don't know if specialty tops is reproducing those though. they may now be unobtanium.
