Please help me identify this part...I don't even know if it goes to my FJ40. If you can't tell, that's a little chain hanging off the part. I have two of them if that helps. Thanks.

Specifically the ones that mount the rear of the seat to the tub. I'd even go so far as to say that the bracket is for the drivers side as it appears to be exactly like my drivers side, but I'm going off memory.

Front bench seat bracket.

Huh?

The bench seat bolts strait to the floor...

It is the driver seat, rear seat mount/pivot so that you can access the toolbox/storage compartment under the driver seat.

Right. And that's the part I'm referring to.

Alex, that bracket has nothing to do with the bench seat which is on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Ok Steve.

Might as well add that there are two of them. One on each rear corner of the driver's seat. These also came in three different sizes. First was for the earlier FJ25. The second was was for the later FJ25 and FJ40 until 64 when the tool box design changed. Yours appears to be the last style which is the most common, 64 thru the 72 model here in the US. All three use the same bolt pattern. They just kept getting shorter as the tool box got shorter.

Thanks, guys. I have bucket seats now so I guess there's a good reason they were in a box in my garage.
