Stop-cock for coolant draining... Lookup coolant change in fsm or even Haynes and they refer to this one and the one at bottom of rad for draining.

thanks. i was hoping it wasn't something else to be replace before i drop it back in.

Yeah... Big junks huh!?? I found a bunch when my oil/grime scraper poked its head thru the front freeze plug!! I could only reach the front three since I wasn't pulling the motor, but I would def recommend replacing those while it's out!! (yours looks pretty good, but for only $1 or so apiece, what can it hurt!!) mine were paper thin and rusting away from the inside!!!
