ANSWER:
THE 2 OPENINGS AT THE END OF THE SOCKET TRAY (SHOWN IN THE PHOTO BELOW TO THE RIGHT) IS FOR THE SMALLER SOCKETS.
FOR METRIC, IT IS THE 4MM SINCE THE 'CIRCLE' KEEPS THE VERY SMALL SOCKETS SECURE VS THE UPWARD PEG.
FOR SAE, IT IS THE 5/32 AND 1/8 THAT GOES INTO THAT OPENING





Hey can someone help me figure out what goes in the right side of the 1/4 tray? Thanks

1/4" drive bit sockets. The little sockets that you hold hex bits.
