I have looked at the manual but I couldn't find any mentioning of the maximum ground clearance for the LX 570 stock. Google shows it 8.9" or 9" but is that with the AHC at its highest?

Since the bottom of the rear diff is likely the lowest point (which is used to measure ground clearance) I don’t think ahc or a lift affects it.

Larger tires lift that pumpkin would likely thus increase ground clearance.

The ahc lift tends to lift the body giving overall increased clearances…but approach, departure, and break over angle are the measure for that, not ground clearance.

Thanks for the response. I was reading this article about the 2021 and it had the following regarding ground clearance that's why I was curious about the 2014.

I guess the pumpkin isn’t the bottom of the ground clearance! Good times

If you’re looking for highest possible ground clearance, you can easily Trim the front and rear bumpers…as well as the side steps.

This guys user name is flight medic or something like that. He has info on this forum.

Good point on the pumpkin and indeed the only way to effect that clearance is through tire size. I wonder where Lexus measures factory clearance.

For reference, with my modified LX on 35s and a medium sensor lift:

10.5" to the bottom of the pumpkin

In AHC H - 16.75" to bottom of the frame rail. The forward cross rail and the trailing link hangers are lower, but not sure that's where they're measured. Perhaps someone with a stock height rig can measure at the frame rail for comparison?

Here's another reference for different angles across the 200-series body styles.

Both valid points. I guess once it's a bit warmer I will measure mine. I still have everything stock.

If i remember correctly, my 2019 LC with stock sized tires has the rear pumpkin at 8.9” or so above ground. So, the pumpkin is the lowest point and should be considered the point to measure ground clearance.

Toyota/Lexus has always been notorious for fudging their “off-road” data. I remember my 2002 4runner having a 11.5” ground clearance listed in Toyota brochure. Toyota was using the rocker panel as the “point” to measure, not even the frame! LOL

And with TeCKis300 “tire lift“ to 35s…his pumpkin height more or less confirms the 8.9” stock clearance.
