did you find out whether you could reverse the front drive shaft as mineis rubbing on the thick end

Hey Gib,

I've made a few changes since those photos were taken.

-Diff forward another 25mm
-Front tailshaft flipped
-25mm front spacer
-Front springs removed one leaf
-Front hanger relocated forward 20mm
-Flat U bolt plates
-New Toyota stock 80 series rear shocks, same length as my old stock front shocks

Below are some photos, if I had shocks that were longer I could achieve more droop.

Tonight i'm picking up some hi flex EFS springs for the rear.

Hi All:

"Hulsty," looking good mate!

I think you suspension travel is very respectable for SUA rig!

FWIW, I used OME shocks N89 in the front and N76 in the rear for my FJ40 with "flipped" OME 60 Series rear springs under the rear axle, and mix n' match OME leafs under the front axle. These shocks offer 359 mm compressed and 594 mm extended lengths for the N89 and 408 mm compressed and 685 mm extended for the N76.

So, from what you wrote in your first post in this thread about the front suspension shock needs, the OME N76 might just be the ticket for your rig!

Regards,

Alan

Thanks mate, those shock lengths previously posted dont stand anymore. The flat U bolt plates have raised the lower shock mount ~25mm. Compressed length now is very short!!

Even if I had longer shocks I couldnt get more droop as the opposing tyre is hitting the guard. Maybe if I extend the front bump stops it could pivot more. Or a body lift.
