I can't wait for the sarcasm but this is a serious question I came across an old FJ40 and trying to decide if I should buy it for cheap. What is an old FJ40 hard top in pretty rough shape with a good frame and original motor worth thee days? Just trying to decide if I want to take on another project. This isn't the truck but it's in similar condition. Thank you guys... go easy on me ha

depends on what vintage it is. different years, priced differently.
does it run?
3 or 4 speed?
etc.
could be anywhere from $500- 4000

For last year or two it is hard to find anything restorable below 1500 .. in the East coast.
Many trucks overpriced,.. for my opinion .. what is sold 2-3 years ago for $500-700 ... now sale for 3-6K
Some of them listed for 1-2 years on Craigslist or FB Market place..with price 5-7K.. no one intended.. I guess..

You're best bet is pictures. A generic question was answered here by basing the answer on generalities. FJ40s have gone UP in value , and that means the ones left behind. What was once an older Vehicle is now a classic worth restoring, restomoding, or just selling valuable parts.
