I'm pretty new here...well, very new. This is just my second post.
But I was intigued by the name: IH8MUD.COM?
Honestly I originally bypassed this forum some months ago because the name seemed to imply an aversion to getting dirty! Well, obviously that is not so...but...
Who thought up the name?

welcome... and i should say SEARCH... but i won't

the guys on here are predominantly rock crawlers that hate the damage mud does (i.e. alternators and starter motors)

woody the guy who owns it used to mud race his 40 i believe, and it was also the number plates to his tow rig??? something like htat

how about: these darn things are awfully heavy for deep mud... ?

nah... that can't be it.

FWIW: Learned yesterday that a 2005 FourRunner TDI going approximately 80kph, when hitting a 15' long mud patch, will actually get mud on exactly ALL surfaces if the mud patch is at least 6" deep. If less deep, the large fenders will block most of the mud.

Fun experiment(s).
