What's a RHD (not an HZJ72) worth? Already imported

Hey, a friend of mine has a right hand drive, [not an HJZ72, short wheelbase, 2 door, fiberglass removable top behind the doors, will get pictures of it and VIN plate to figure out what it is], not sure of year. Imported about 10 years ago. Needs a little work, but runs and drives. WIll get pictures of current condition. He knows so little about the current market, need a little help figuring out what is a fair price for him and a buyer. I know without pictures this is pure speculation, but I'd be grateful for the advice of you guys that are better snapped in to this market.

Thanks,

Luke

OK. So Clearly I'm more clueless on this than I realized. I I'll get some pictures of the VIN plate (or it's Japanese equivalent) and the overall condition.

It may be a BJ72. It's a 2 door, short wheelbase with a removable top behind the doors.

HZJ73 would be a mid wheel base removable top, with 1HZ diesel

Hzj77 would be 4 door with 1HZ diesel

Not sure if they made a short wheelbase with the 1HZ

That’s a bj73 or HZJ73

If soft top could be a bj70 =3b.

But If it’s fiberglass top, it’s a mid wheel base.

Bj73 = 3B 4cyl diesel, or if from Spain a VM motorri 5cyl pos diesel.

HZJ73 = 1HZ 6 cylinder

That’s easy to do. My Cruiser knowledge is primarily with early FJs. I’m just tying to help
out a friend with this and am clearly out of depth.

You well be hard pressed to get a straight answer ever with pictures.
The people that own and sell them think there worth more.
The people that want to buy them think there worth less 🤷‍♂️
In the end it’s worth whatever someone welling to pay.
Just like any used Vehicle.
I know not vary helpful.

There are 72 variants, but not with the 1HZ as far I know. LJ72 is one model I am aware of.

But of course, African swallows are non-migratory.
