Hey y’all I’m a 100 series guy looking to get my first 40.

Could y’all help me with what year this is and what you think it is worth?

Any more info? It’s at least a 72 or later based on the sad turn signals.

Maybe look up when the gas door was added.

‘74? Ignition switch is up on column, stamped heater intake and it looks like it has the later rear crossmember.

Looks pretty complete and worth pursuing from here. I’d be in at $3500 to $5k(I’m in the rustbelt and we don’t see them too often in that shape) with a clean title and depending on what the drivetrain looks like. The 40s are expensive and time consuming to restore. Parts are drying up. That’s a good one to get running and driving and keep as original as possible.

Clearly a 74. Roll bar and tail lights started with the 74. Same with that licence plate bracket on the back.
Front clearance lights moved to the turn signal in 75. Doors and windshield alos changed in 75.

I'm going late 73.

9/73 was the start of the 74 model year. Has the soft inside door pulls. By the shift boot it's a four speed. Those started a few months into the model year. The dual lamp rear license plate bracket didn't start until a couple months in to 74. It is a 74 model and made in 74.

Nobody mentioned the obvious rust issues. The rear of the tub will need a lot of work. I would bet there's more that can't be seen in the pics. Just be sure you're aware of what your getting into.

It looks like the last Tag was in 2010. Assuming its been sitting for almost 10 years - what am I looking at to get it driveable? I know this is a loaded question but am I probably going ot needot rebuild both axles, birfs, transmission, transfercase?

Is this going to be $5k to get it driveable - even just around town nothing morethan 20 miles or closer to $10k?
