What will bolt to my tranny? (1 Viewer)

I was wondering what engines besides the "F" that I currently have in my 73' FJ40 will mate directly to my stock 4 speed tranny? A 350 would be nice but adding the adapter is way out of budget right now.

So you don't know what will mate to my tranny Poser or you just don't want to say?

Where can I get a $500 bell housing? I thought they where closer to 1k.

Tewlman- I might just go with a 2F I was just trying to find out what all of my options are.

Problem is that you'll need motor and transmission mounts for the 350 conversion too....Add another 250 and you up to 750 now

Thought Mace said it was a three-speed bell housing. That will not work with the four speed trans, the pilot holes are not anywhere close to the same between trannies...
