As long as there are absolutely NO follow up questions, Buy 285/75r16 all terrain bfg ko2s and enjoy.

Should we start the sodomy now? He has 8 posts, has not conducted a search, and obviously not read many of the threads or he would know that asking this must also go along with what oil should I use, what front bumper do I want, and how much lift should I put on my truck?

We all know those are the standard newb questions, but should we be nice or should we sodomize the living hell out of him?

I completely agree. Sodomy is the best course of action.

was going to make a head gasket comment but everyone beat me to it.

Just go with 285/75/16

If you want to spend more, get BFG K02. Costco has good prices on them.

If you want to spend less, get the Falken Wildpeak AT3W from Discount Tire Direct. If you wait for a sale, you can get them for around $600

For engine oil the standard should be Shell Rotella 15w-40

Funny stuff. @Boss2553 , hang in there and laugh later, you'll be right in there on the next new guy. As said above, 285/75-16 on stock height to 2.5" lift looks like it should from the factory, and lots of room.
Bfg, dura trac, stt max, stt pro, toyo, etc. All look and work fine.

And remember some pictures.

LOL, Thanks for the witty reply. For oil you guys should check out the walmart synthetic. I use it in the 67 Shelby and the Boss car my 69 bronco the mower and power washer. 18 a gallon versers 26 for mobil 1. Picked this land cruiser up it had been sitting since 2009 torn apart, finally running. Ok explain the head gasket joke, it had the head changed and they never finished it.

For your viewing pleasure.....tjm 50mm lift, 1" spacers up front, 315 BFG. Absolutely awesome for me.

The 93-97 version of the 1FZ-FE engines are known to have head gasket failures on the "original" head gasket. Toyota made an update to the gasket and all the have been replaced properly don;t fail.

The original HG fails anywhere from 45K miles to 350K miles.

So, now ANYTHING that fails may cause you HG to blow.....Unless you have a 91-92 version which is a 3FE engine and albeit, VERY slow, it rarely fails.

Welcome. :flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:

Got it. Yeah we have had some issues throughout the years but sell a lot of Toyodas. I usually drive fords. I always wanted a Landcruiser. Really like the look. I did look up the info on the drive line lubricant. And have been reading on the coolant. So many choices. I have a 67,2-69’s a 70 and a 78. Not to up to date on all the new coolants.

Don't listen to any of these clowns, especially nukegoat. They're just going to make fun of you because you're new. I'm not here to do that, friend. I was once new too, so I know how daunting it can be. I'm here to help, so you can trust me.

You can go as big as 787.4mm tall tires, but because it's a Japanese truck, they need to be Japanese metric tires, not that dumb imperial s*** that American trucks use or that queer European metrique garbage. If you use any American or European brand tires, it'll void the warranty and the computer has a sensor that can tell what tires are there, and if it senses they're not Japanese metric tires, it'll cause the head gasket to blow as a precaution to keep you from driving on non- factory spec tires.

Well crap and all time I spent in the suspension and engine division with this Japanese engineers and they never shared. That must have been the issue the out early V-6 engine. You guys are top notch. I must inquire for help on my America cars. Lol
