What the secret to reinstalling a rear view mirror on a 1970 FJ40?

It snaps in hard if you have the OEM windshield mirror on a 1970 FJ40. May be helpful to remove the driver's slave wiper to get some clearance with the cable. Done very few times but never had to get the wiper motor cable out of the way.

Same issue... I assume you have to really push down hard from the top... I couldn't get it to snap together on the bench.

I usually go the other way, cause I'm sitting the drivers seat. Push up and snap it in.

Thanks, I had to lower the windshield to get the right angle.
