What the heck is this switch?! (1 Viewer)

While inspecting my front seat supports today, I discovered a mini switch mounted inside the left side support rail...

Is this stock? What does it do? I flip it and nothing happens... All the wires are inside the rail, so it's really difficult to trace.

Maybe it's a remote ignition kill switch for theft deterrent?? Didn't try that one yet...

sounds like something to do with an alarm. that's the only time i've ever seen micro switches on cars is in alarm installs.
