I am looking to purchase wheel adapters. The reason is that to have a better look of my ride, wider out looks much better, as my opinion.

2003 LX470
Tires that I have right now are BFG A/T 285/65/18. Planning to get OME lift very soon. Which wheel adapter's size should I get?

6x5.5x1.5" or 5x5.5x1.5"

Thank's!

I have 1" spacers on the front of my Cruiser along with wider tires. You need to look into the 33 x 13.50 x 18 Terra Grapplers if you want a wider tire/look.

I got my spacers (not adapters) at performancewheels.com. They were $85 each.

This is the only picture I have on this computer of the width of my tires to the body.

I have the OME lift, but Christo Slee ran these tires without lift for a while and they worked.

1" spacers up front on mine too; Slee Offroad was my source.

Hi wngrog,

Can you post more pictures of your ride?
Thank you!

Why only up front?

As you lift IFS, the angle of the arms changes, effectively "narrowing" the track. With a solid axle (like in the rear), this is not a concern.

i think my wheels stick out more than most peoples. Check it out

You can see the first row of the tread on the outer edge. I have stock tires and no spacers. I think its the wheels i have, i think they are a RWD offset. Anyways, i love the way the truck handles with the wide stance...plus it looks so much nicer.

The track width reduction on a 2" lifted 100 is approximately 1/4" to 3/8" per side (1/2"-3/4" total). So with 1" spacers, the track is 1.25 to 1.5" wider total than at stock height.

Funny how yours looks so much bigger in this picture!

i stopped at a toyota dealership down teh street to buy a part...and as im walking back to my truck i noticed how much wider my wheels are than the stock landcruiser that was on the lot. I just had to take a picture, i just wish it had come out better...damn cell phone cameras.
