what size screws for stock rack?

hey guys,

what size screws are used for attaching the stock rack into the roof nutserts? i just picked up a stock rack and the screws are way too big for the nutserts. Are there different sized screws for a 1991 compared to a 1997? (i have a 91)

i know i know, the stock rack is crap and builds rust. but, i need something low profile to carry surfboards. so the stock rack fits the bill. and I live in southern CA so rust isnt a huge concern.

The best bet is to just get several sizes from HomeDepot or something and try them. I am guessing a machine screw, fine thread... maybe 5mm... just not sure

these are threading into the roof inserts correct? so it's just a matter of hunting the local bolt store unfortunately

yeah dude. still looking. gonna swing by home depot after work and just get a variety of screws and see what fits.
