My '75 2F has a hard coolant pipe mounted horizontally on the head on the passenger side just above the distributor. A soft hose goes from the back of the hard pipe to the heater inlet on the firewall. A standard 5/8" ID heater hose fits those fittings.

The front of the hard line connects to the small metal inlet on the hose at the bottom of the radiator. 5/8" ID hose is too big, and 1/2" ID is too small. Does anyone know what size hose to use here? Or are these joints made of unobfittium?

Thanks in advance,
Shawn

It is very possible that over the years, corrosion has caused enough material to be removed so that a 5/8" heater hose will not seal on it any loger....been there.

Replace lower metal tube piece. Early trucks this was a fitting that could be replaced, later trucks, this was a one-piece affair...

Good luck!

Sounds reasonable fellas. The lower fitting is replaceable. I'll give it a try. Thanks again.
