what side is your alternator on?

    are canadian rigs totally fawked up or what? mines on the drivers side. to put a power steering pump on my 2f does the alternator need to be on the passenger side? if so whats the bracket look like for the alternator? also do i need a double pulley on my crank shaft(2 belts)?

    I just did ps on mine and had to flip the alt to pass side. There are three holes on the side of the head up front that accept an alt bracket. Mine is a late F but was drilled for the bracket. I bought mine from PinHead. Outside of rewiring, it is a simple bolt-up. Don't know why the Canuck version would be on the driver's side.
    The bracket looks like a "U", or part of a "U".

    F's have them low on the driver's side.
    2F's have them high on the pass side

    and I think canadian 40's are backasswards, they don't have a smog pump(like US of the same year)....so the alt goes down low on the driverside. and I think if they have PS stock then the PS pump goes high on the passanger side

    yep, what Landpimp said.On canadian ones, the alt is on the driver side and the p/s is on the passenger side.The alt is down where the smog pump goes on the ameriacan ones.

    dealer installed A/C my 60 is like that also

    It's dealer installed York
    tank and assorted from onboardair.com or Granger.
