Hello everyone,

New to the list as you can tell, but just purchased an FJ as my daily driver. The 80 used to be it, but now it isn't. Right now it only has the OME 3" with 35's. Looking to move up, what should I do? Any preferences on lifts?

Sounds like you have a good head start. Throw at it whatever you think is usefull for your needs

You're in Florida...do you travel to rock crawl, or do you do any rock crawling at all? If so, then a switch to OME comp 3-4"/Slee 4" springs and L shocks, a pair of slee control arms (spendy, but worth it as it seems to eliminate all hassle with driveline problems), and the other required trinkets would work great. 35-37" TSLs or BFG MT or Trxus MTs would work well with this setup.

If you're one of them Floridians that plays in the mud a lot, go with the Slee 6" system and run some 36-37" boggers...

Welcome to the 80 club from another floridiot, do you have any pics?
I might be interested in your old lift if you decide to upgrade...
Thanks Jason

Well, what kind of wheeling do you do? Check out my post earlier, fairly good suggestions for what I know about Florida wheeling.

I will vouch for Todd Great Guy I have purchased from him bumper/lift/snorkel/rails .. Have had nothing but good things to say about his company!

Nice 80 and you got the best color.
I'll be at GSMTR in my white 96.

He doesnt need sliders if all he does is mud..then he needs some big meats and power...

agreed... it really depends on what kind of wheeling he's going to be doing.......... if mudding i'd say big lift big tires, take off the rack and bumper, get some lockers and do something to up the hp build current motor or throw a sbc in there

With it being an FZJ, I'd vote for finding a S/C'r...6" Slee, and 36-37" Boggers for mud...for rocks there's a whole bunch of mix and match options.
