Friend of mine found that one in an axle he bought, no other picture available yet, but i guess the US cruiserheads know straight away what it is. :popcorn:

Its a Grenade lock or gov lock. Gm uses them. don't trust it there called grenade locks for a reason. I personally have had 3 go out and its not pretty when it happens.

gov lock. no burn out in reverse.

also junk. It might me GM but its a comikazi, it kills other parts when it dies.

Yeah, it was built for the GM 12 bolt axle

There are a bunch of them out there. Not the strongest locker, but do well if big tires are not used.

The problem is the locking mechanism consists of a lot of small pieces. When you spin the crap out of a tire and it locks up, boom..

and yeah, because of all of the small pieces, when it blows, it does throw a bunch of small pieces into your diff potentially ruining the pinion and ring gear.
