Some company in oz was making FRP for soft top Bundeeras. I got to inspect one recently at a workshop.
From memory ,the windscreen could no longer accept the soft top.
The top looked like they had used parts off a OEM top in the molding.
I also know where there is a dual cab FRP top for a 7* series, must get a pic before it gets tossed out;)

all 2 piece rear and front doors are body color bottom and black uppers

Natty picked out some good points but the mirror on the front fender is normal for a JDM.

This is a post 1990 model and I thought they normally had the FRP painted the same as the body.
It doesnt seem to have the 1/4 glass in the doors.
Maybe this is a soft top with an FRP fitted or a FRP top model fitted with soft top doors etc.:meh:

I think the same Rosco, this Land Cruiser is Soft- Top, and after buy the FRP and cut! :hillbilly:

Too many 4x4 friends here in Spain tell me: "hey Lulo, you buy a FRP Top a cut" :grinpimp: because my LJ-70 is rag-top :steer:

the problem is the soft top retainer on the windshield, the FRP will not fit over it so either cut retainer off or switch windshield frames to 73/74/75 series and then bolt the cut down FRP on...

it is cool that someone in Japan actually did it...

I personally think the shorties look best with a rag top. It seems to suit them better. I know around here, rag top Jeep CJ, YJ, and TJs are fairly common and are even available from car rental companies to them touristy types. It's just the cat's meow to drive in a 4x4 with the top and windscreen down and the doors off doing like 50 on the freeway past downtown. It's absolutely wonderful. Not to mention is it a great way to go wheeling. If I could afford one, I'd get a BJ70 or BJ71 with a rag top and fold down the windscreen and take the doors off and just use it as a beater trail/beach rig as it were just like that. I guess that's just how I like the shorties though. I guess to each his own, eh?

I'm with Coyote, the shorties with a rag top are the coolest. I've got my 70 off the frame and stripped and have been debating with others weather I should cut the new roof I just put on or go orginial. I would love to make a rag top.
Does anyone part out the flip forward windshields, if I could land one of of these
I think it would make my decision easier. Cruiser if you had that two years...
well I missed my chance

you can get the flip down windshield new from Japan for relatively cheap...
Crushers, Cruiser, Wayne the whinner, Wayne the Pain... as long as you don't call me late for supper... all is good.

They are 340 euros in oz for the 73,75 series. There are some good F/G ones for half that

use the 73 series and stick a reciever on the top... done.

cheap, i paid $340 CND last year for a new ragtop frame...

do a search, i have a thread here somewhere about removing the top and half doors on a ragtop 70...
Are there any blue prints/pics available for building the 2 pcs. doors?

not sure if the price is the same now but try Japan 4X4...
