A black box fell out from under the dash of my friends fj60. On it is written:
OEM Replica Series Manual Transmission Electronics Module p/n 2700141. It has a dial adjuster for the engine type: 4 cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl, a centering adjustment dial and a sytem sensitivity adjustment dial, a power light and an "engage" light. I know that autos often have a module to control shifting but I haven't seen one on a sixty before. The harness looks factory so I'm guessing its stock- just don't know anything about it and a search revealed nothing.

Sorry, Never seen anything like that in a USA FJ60 w/ 2F engine and manual transmission.

Could Iron Giant be describing the A/C engagement adjustment box? Never heard heard of one w/ a selector for the number of cylinders but you never know

ive seen a box like that before not sure on what or when but thinking back then it was something to do with timing but i but my memery says it was aftermarket im sure i was no help later chris
