I was planning on installing an invertor and PS2 under the passenger seat of my Jap import 1999 Amazon. When I took out the seat I found this which doesn't leave much room!

It looks like a fan but doesn't seem to do anything! It may be really obvious but I don't know what it is and if I can take it out to make more room!!

I tried a cat scan but I'm no further forward.........

Any help appreciated!

Yep - it's the rear heater - thanks!

That means I can't put it in the bin!

Anyway got any good ideas for where to put the electric goods? Under the drivers seat is pretty full with a couple of amps!

Behind the plastic in the cargo area, rig up some 110v plugs cut into the plastic.

pssst.............this is under the DRIVERS seat on LHD/US vehicles.

Slee use to sell a switch that can turn this off and on. Its a Toyota part.


there is a blank/dead cover on the center console and this is where you actually install the switch - if you pop this cover off the light is installed - you just need the switch - off/lo/hi


I am not sure if other years have it but I have it on a 1999 100 Series.
