What is this? Rear Drivers Side F Engine

What appears to be a brass capped something....never noticed it before....saw it today while looking at some oil seepage around my oil pressure connection...

This is to the left of the first pic showing the oil pressure connection...

It is the coolant drain plug for the block.
 
One day you should open it, and verify it's not plugged.

The outer nut lets you open a small drain cock. If no fluid comes out, then teke the inner one (bigger one) completely out of the block and poke around in there with a very long, thin screwdriver, and break all the crap free.

It took me about 30 minutes to get mine flowing again. There can be a lot of crud that builds up back there over 35 years....
