What is this? Off my & 78 2F somewhere?

Any clues? I have looked in the books and just no luck. Can't remeber where this came from not even sure if it's stock. It is shot no matter what it is, seem to remember taking it off the left side of the block somewhere but just not sure, any thoughts?

Front ear on the exhaust manifold. Provides hot air to the air cleaner. See hole under air claener snout and it bolds directly below it.
