I'm installing a President McKinley cb radio in a few days (most likely under the steering column) because I've done with with Waze/Google maps not updating traffic conditions timely. I'll be using the President Maryland antenna on the Firestik K11 magnet mount.

What is the fastest and easiest way to route power/ground wire from the inside to the battery? My time budget for the install/setup/swr tuning is a few hours. I have no desire to cut any metal.

Also, several others asked me to provide a video of my 4-side dash cam setup. Sorry this has not been provided. Hopefully after the cb is installed then I can provide a video to show the dash cams and cb.

Thanks.

I just ran a 6GA pos line to a 50A breaker in the engine compartment and from that through the grommet on the driver's side; I ran the ground wire to the frame under/behind the passenger side dash.
So far no problems in 2 years.

I just did this and ran 12 on drivers side...there is a decent opening in the firewall grommet where the hood release cable goes through. I made one little 1/4 inch cut next to that cable and had no issues fishing it through the side kick to the wire trays along the rockers. You will save your self some time if you pull the plastic toe kick down from under the dash as it opens everything well for vision.

Don't hesitate to reach out. PM me and I will be glad to call you back or share my cell with you.

You can just tap the cigarette lighter power. It is very easy to pull the under radio vertical portion around the ashtray.
There is more space to the rear of the vehicle on the right side conduit, but the grommet under the computer in the engine bay is harder to access.
There is a good amount of space to put stuff under the right side passenger seat

This is how mine worked out - 6GA POS goes to a 50A Blue Sea breaker then through the right part of the grommet that hosts the hood release cable on hte left and the OEM wiring harness in the center.
I made sure that the part of the grommet I punched through and the entire grommet was slathered with GE Silicone seal.
I'm happy with it.

It won't impress the electrical gurus but this is what I have on the inside - I just stick it out of the way when not in use.
If I have to get to get power to the rear I just run a DC extension cable under the floor mat; it doesn't get in the way while driving at all.
I plan to do something similar on the passenger side. There I have 2 nipples available to go through and will run a 6GA and some smaller 14 or 16 GA wires for dashcams, radios etc...
