What is the best LT1 wiring harness? (1 Viewer)

There are multiple companies that make stand alone harnesses for the LT1 and many companies that will modify your factory harness. I have a complete 97 Camaro SS that i will be using the motor and 4l60e in my 72 FJ40. Looking for some guidance on whether to modify existing harness or purchase a stand alone harness and which company to use? Also, any recommendations on a company to flash the ECU?

It was not a LS1 but I used howell on my TBI and the sent a new chip and the harness was very well made and the instructions where great. Plug in and go no worrys.

Also, any recommendations on a company to flash the ECU?

If you are using the whole combo - engine and tranny - wouldn't it be pretty easy to use the stock harness? (Those aftermarket harnesses are great but not inexpensive.) I would imagine the mods necessary are pretty well documented somewhere.
