I recently bought a new reproduction fiberglass top for my FJ40. What all do I need in order to assemble and install it? (Rain gutters/weatherstrip etc) and where should I buy?

And does anyone know a good tutorial or instruction on painting and installing the fiberglass top?

All help is appreciated, thanks!

You need to rivet drip rail to the new fiberglass correct? There are a few threads on that. Here's one and there's another roof link within the thread.

I used SEM self leveling sealer in the gutters. Worked good. You need a special gun to dispense it.

Do you have an HVLP spray gun for paint? If so you'll shoot primer, then lay down the self leveling gutter sealer. Believe you can then shoot color over the gutter sealer within 24-48 hours without priming it. Check the TDS sheet to verify.

Where did you buy the top?
Did they provide instructions?

Gozzard tops have the drip rail already, Classic Cruisers does not.

The thread above should have the info you need. If your current top's drip rail.is still good or at least repairable, you can save a few bucks.
