What is MP grease? Anyone? (1 Viewer)

I was just about to replace crankshaft front oil seal/leaks, but according to FSM need to apply MP grease to new seal.I have no clue what is MP grease? Anyone?

not that this answers your question but I always use silicon on new seals.

The grease is applied to new seals to keep them from burning up during the first few drives on them.

It is a good practice to ALWAYS apply a coating of grease to rubber/neoprene seals before installing them.

usally just the di-electric stuff I've got, or the stuff labled as "spark plug boot grease".

Or you can use some petroleum jelly on new seals and o-rings to keep them pliable.
