in my search for the perfect diesel cruiser i keep hearing about the 13bt engine and it being similar to the 3b. so what is the 13bt and what is it out of? does the t connotate turbo? does anybody have any specs for it? thanks guys.

The 13BT comes fom a BJ71 or BJ74 and possibly some small toyota trucks.
It is a turbo version of a 3B and there are also 14BT and 15BT from trucks and buses.
Yep T is for turbo and 1 is for direct injection as there is also 13B and 14B ect that dont have turbo but are not in landcruisers.
The 13BT is a good diesel but not the only good diesel Toyota have.
Look at section 5.4 for a full run down on all diesels from Toyota and compare the specs.
