Stayed put and built me a bumper / tire carrier! :thumbsup:

here's what she looked like at the start:

I know, she's pretty :D Here's the main piece. It's a 2 by 6 piece of stout metal.

I have still have a few minor things to do before I primer and paint (hi-lift mount, change the location of the license plate, add a light, etc)
but it's driveable. The hinge will hold up to 800 pounds so I don't think it will be bending any time soon.

I love my old criuser- Hopefully, I'll be installing the lift next weekend.
 
looks good man, when do you start taking orders? that sharp top corner kind of scares me, sticking out and all, i got two bumper high toddlers and pretty knees that i'd hate to see skinned. what'd you use for the pivot?
 
That last pic makes it look like it sticks out but it doesn't. A couple pics up you can see how it looks at a regular angle.

The hinge is actually one that is used for long, heavy metal gates. But I liked it and it works.
