Replaced the counter shaft, input shaft and the bearings in the trans.

Used petroleum jelly to hold the needles in, it will melt and not clog up. Smells good too!

I'll finish her up tom.

Just replaced my water pump that started leaking and going out. Thanks to @cruiseroutfit for getting me a new OEM water pump and gasket quickly this week. Unfortunately a broken bolt in the block slowed me down. in the end got it in, fired it up and brought it up to temperature with no leaks so I was happy.

FedEx dropped this off today - 1978 era Warn 8274 for my FJ40. Excited about getting this beast mounted!

Nice! I don't like the boots either.. Great shocks!
Only had a short drive to try them out but I really like how the Bilsteins are controlled yet comfortable - far better than the old Rancheros. Interested to see how they handle off-roading.

Epoxy primer/sealer final coat on!

Today = a s***-ton of sanding. Unfortunately I made a mistake and only sanded the few spots of filler with 80 scratch before sealing and primer...which left sanding marks after wet sanding the primer - fxxx.

Whomever invented glazing putty is my hero and I owe them some beer. Even though I still had to shoot another two coats of primer, this stuff probably saved me from doing another round. It goes on so smooth and sands very nice. Note to self...sand filler with 220 scratch befor priming and you'll save yourself some time!

Tomorrow looks like another day of wet sanding primer and shooting a couple coats on the tub...

Where would we really be without our Labrador Retrievers (Chocolate!)

Been a while since I have been on here but figured this was worth posting. Finished my rattle can paint job! Sanded down all the rust from it being in upstate New York primed and painted. Now all I have to do when rust peeks through is sand it and throw more of my paint on it. I have about ten cans left over:)

Amazing how well that paint job turned out. Very nice!
Spend a few bucks and get some new emblems. =)

Emblems are on their way! I broke most of the old ones mounts getting them off due to rust. I could have just glued them but thought why not make it look decent.

@fjdiesel That is a dang nice looking green. What's is called.

The paint code is RAL 6026
I don't remember the name... My wife picked it out, she wanted it a little lighter than the original Toyota green.
