@StucknKS and his coworker Jason that bought an 80 for his son and I put a lift in this weekend in near record time. 4 shocks, 2 bushings replaced and 4 springs in under 2 hours.

No time for pictures when your working that fast.
Haha. I thought about the pictures a little too late.. I really appreciate everything @2fpower and @StucknKS !

learned something new.... I worked on three 80's last weekend, and found that when I worked on boost, when I jacked up one wheel, put transfer in Neutral, I could spin the hub. Tried the same on Lexi, and it would not, then Josh's truck and it still would not...

Ends up the answer is the viscous coupler is seized. here is a thread about getting rid of it.

Sliders arrived today for the taco. Got them primed and waiting...

about time you work on your own rig!

The contacts on the bulb in the socket are probably loose. If it goes out again try to smack the dash above the panel to see if it comes back on or flickers. Mine did this quite a few times before I replaced all the bulbs with LEDs. A truck a did a front axle rebuild had the D light come on after I buttoned it all up.
