I've spent a ton of time here looking at this over the past couple weeks. I want to put a double-DIN in my 2001 LX 470 without navigation. Mark Levinson stereo. I also just searched here for the better part of an hour and the best information I have (for an 00 LC not an 01 LX) is as follows:

Stereo wiring harness?

"On our 2000 TLC, we found we could use:

One of these these three, if we were going to try and keep the OEM amplifier:
Metra 70-8113 Amp Integration
DNF 70-8113 Amp Integration
BEST KITS BHA8113 Amp Integration

One of these if we were planning on bypassing the OEM amplifier and using speaker outputs from the head unit:
Metra 70-8116 Amplifier Bypass
These to adapt aftermarket speakers to OEM harness:
Metra 72-8104"

-------------------

Can anyone confirm what harness they have used in a 2001-2002 non-nav Mark Levinson LX 470, whether for utilizing the factory amp or abandoning it and installing new speakers?

Ideally I'd like to just install a double-DIN headunit while using the existing amp and speakers, but my longer term goal is to bypass all of that crap and install speakers that I run from the headunit. I could do it all at once if it's way easier though.
