On my '77 there's a wonderful clip on the end of the clutch slave cylinder bracket. What goes inside the clip?

Maybe the ground cable from the starter to the frame could loop thru their.

What about the emergency brake cable running from the transfer case to the firewall/dash?
I think it’s the wrong side for that. I believe this pic is looking from the underside up and is on the starter side. Parking cable should go down driver side (through a similar keeper). That was the same thing I thought at first.

If that’s a bracket from a slave cylinder setup that was on the driver’s side that could still be for the e-brake cable, maybe that’s why we don’t see the cable in the pic. ???

The same bracket appears on my '83 ROW clutch slave, with the RH cowl vent drain tube clamped in it. Look up #90461-10122. Despite later models of the FJ40s exported to the US after 1/75 not having the cowl vent, ROW models continued it, with the tubing exiting the upper area of the later-style welded tunnel; sometimes bracketry still showed up on other models un-needed.
