For carrying luggage given the very limited space when using the third row for passengers?

Choices are roof rack, trailer, or a hitch-mount storage carrier. It would depend on what you were carrying.

You could attach a Thule roof top cargo carrier to your OEM roof rack. I see a lot of guys do that.

I have a Yakima Skybox 16 I throw on for road trips when my dogs are riding in the back. Holds a good amount of gear.

^^^ another vote for skybox. I have a skybox 21, need the bigger one to carry the kids 210 and 215 cm skis. The 16 is better all around. We had a 16 until the kids went up to U16.

The 5 of us fit into our cruiser with all our gear and plenty of Christmas presents for the little ones. Plenty of storage. 2 Thule somethings...
