What do y'all think about this Hone planetary? (1 Viewer)

I was hoping to rebuild the unit. Everything else looks good.

Do see any color change from running hot? I'd do a die penetrant or have it magnafluxed to look for cracks.

In my experience, the weak link in the Hone is the little pins on the two ends of the planetary gears. They wear down from the lateral load they carry, and can wallow out the carrier. Yours look to be intact. You’re probably ok.
