7.5k with 250k on the clock back in 2018... Everyone says they over paid but people fail to realize the average American pays 9k in car payments alone every year. Think about that a little bit....

$5k paid in 06/17, 260k miles, purchased from original owner.

Feeling pretty good after reading the previous posts. Purchased my 96 triple locked 80 from the original owner for $2k. He probably would have taken $1500 but I would have felt a little guilty. It was bone stock with 230k on the clock. Spent its whole previous life as a garage kept grocery getter. Purchased in 2016 and it has been a daily driver ever since. Only thing I have done was baseline, tuneup, and new BFG tires.

07/18
$5k

Locked. 170k mi. All stock, no rust, good body. Lots of oil leaks and needed serious base lining but overall I'm happy with price I paid.

I've since put about another $5k into it and plan to put a couple more into it.

I paid more than many of you for my unlocked truck (have probably put at least double that into it by now as well), but the body and interior were very straight, 0 rust to speak of on any surface and lots of over the top baselining had already been completed. Interesting to see what people prioritize when buying these trucks.

Nothing recent, really just posting to convince myself my LC’s may be my best return on investment after this week!

$17.5 k in 2005, TRD Supercharged 3x Locked 61k miles, has 101k currently

$9.5K in 2009, 3X locked LX 450 84k miles, needed a front bumper and the cladding painted, has 115k currently.

$6.5k in 2011, 3X locked stock with142k, sold in 2013 for slightly more.

Paid $7991 in March 2009 for a 3xlocked 93‘ with 97k. Bought it from a Toyota Dealership at the height of ridiculous gas prices here in California. Best money I ever spent!

Sept 2019 / bone stock, no lockers, 93k miles, all original paint, no rust, near perfect interior, amazing paint condition, everything works perfect, runs perfect. Started after it sat for 3 months and no smoke coming out of the exhaust. still had some paper labels on wires in the engine compartment. $17k

He wanted $6000 for the triple locked one with odometer discrepancy, thus unknown miles, ragged out interior, and oil leaking everywhere. I passed and got:

No lockers, very clean, maintenance records, 2nd owner for 20 years, 164k, for $7300. I've got the lockers and 4.56 gears ready to go on.

$8000 in September 2013, white 1997 Collectors edition, locked with just 134,000 miles. I’m the third owner.
