What did you do with your trailer this weekend? (1 Viewer)

The last couple weekends I've been busy de-militarizing/repairing my M1102 trailer. Removed the lunette/surge brake assembly and installed a 2" ball hitch. Replaced all of the marker lights since the factory units were corroded beyond saving. Chased lighting issues with the tail lights, which turned out to be a ground. Replaced the hydraulic drum brakes with electric brakes. I'm in the home stretch now, just need to complete the new wiring.

And got it finished up yesterday. Hopefully I won't have to touch it for a few years :)

Got it out, set it up for the kids to play in. New camper for me, so still figuring it all out.

Winter is almost here, so probability wont have it back up til April. :(

hey guys I've been looking out for one of these, a VenturCraft TrailBlazer mini trailer. Several of the guys here in our AZ club, Copper State Cruisers, have them. Do any of you guys outside our club have any experience with them? Anybody know of one in your area that might be for sale? thanks in advance

They're pretty rare. Copper State Cruisers has the highest concentration of them that I've seen anywhere. I'd go as far as to say that they have most of the total production. I only know of 3 others besides ours not in their collective, and one of those may be imaginary.

In the past my advice to those wanting and not finding one was to build something like it using the MOAB tent, but I think those are out of production as well.

After tripping over them for the last 6 or 7 years, the giant Cruisin' Off Road-built fenders are finally getting mounted on my 101. 35s with no lift.

With a ton of help from @Greg_B we made a bunch of progress over the last couple of weeks.
Took the fenders back off, knocked off the surface rust, primed, and painted.

Stripped out all the seam sealer, scraped away at the rust.

Wiped the tub down with brake clean, sanded and scuffed, wiped down with final wipe solvent, 2 coats of Rust Bullet in every seam and anywhere that looked remotely problematic

Love you set up! I have been dreaming about adventure trailers, but I'm 6'4" so it seems like a tough balance between getting the RTT/awning up high enough to make for usable space underneath while also not sacrificing the low profile while on the road. Can you tell me a little more about your lift set up? It looks ideal. Is this assisted at all with gas struts, etc? Thanks!
