I fixed the factory roof rack holes in mine. I had already taken care of the rust and primed the holes, so I shot blue Dupli-Color around the holes and put in some black plastic plugs with Permatex Adhesive Silicone. That stuff is nasty, in a good sticky sealing kind of way.

well, I'm between jobs, so, this whole week with the cruiser.

Pulled off both front hubs and checked wheel bearings. wheel bearings fine. Added more grease and installed new lock nuts and actually set preload unlike the last person to have them on.

Oh, but i also tried to install brembo rotors and powerstop 100 series 'evolution' ceramic pads. this was a no-go because you can't take the shims off the back of those pads. I ended up having my rotors turned. Anybody wanna buy some brembo front rotors for an fzj80?

Pumped NLGI-2 lithium grease into every zerk on the front drive shaft i could find until they squirted. This seems to have resolved the rumble i was feeling/hearing.

Installed KYB Monomax shocks front and rear. Installed OME 'stock height' springs rear. Loving it. Yes i am rocking some stinkbug until i get some time to do the front springs. I just did the front shocks as a change of pace while having issues with brakes.

Finished up replacing the valve cover gasket and distributor o-ring. Both of them weren't even rubber any more, they were very hard plastic. Ordered a bunch of OEM 3.5mm hose and replaced everything I could find. It has been 500 miles now so it's time to change the diff fluid and go have fun with the recently installed ARB lockers.

Fixed it for you.

I thought it went fine considering it was my first time up. I got a little tippy because I lost sight of my spotter. Maybe next time you can spot me up and we can have a holly good time lol.

Sure thing but having a holly good time is very boring in comparison:flipoff2: Glad you made it without damage.

Replaced front speaker having to use spacers I made due to speaker hitting widow glass slide.
