I got another chance to get out and explore the parashant national monument in northern Arizona. This place is so remote and beautiful. I love the Grand Canyon country.

Took the old gal to work

Cool, I loved when I could take the 80 to work, instead of a company truck.

Is there many canadian drilling rigs down that way now? I'm under the impression a lot of that has moved down to the US with the oil price/economy. The wife and I have even talked about going to texas for work.

Finally got around to bolting up my skid plates!
I pulled stumps out with the 80 while planting 55 damn citrus trees on our new landView attachment 1875141 View attachment 1875141 View attachment 1875143 View attachment 1875141 View attachment 1875143 View attachment 1875145 View attachment 1875146 ..... with a bit of help from the dogs... we delayed our Big Bend trip to catch the nice weather to get this done... hoping to get later this month.

I see one chainsaw is a Stihl Farm Boss but what's the other red one? A Echo maybe?

Finally fixed a courtesy light switch on the rear passenger door as my ten year-old can't understand closing the door "firmly" vs slamming it. Note if you ever do this, if you connect the switch to the wire behind the door pillar but don't mount the push part into the door it won't work. Needs to be bolted in to give it ground to the truck body. Don't ask how I know.

Looks like a Milwaukee cordless saw.

@RS6tofj80 I am curious how you like it? I have a Sthil as well but am going back and forth between the Dewalt or the Milwaukee cordless chainsaws.

@cody c
Took away our trucks, but I see it as an upgrade. I can stretch out without the seats in the back. No idea if they're displaced from the great white north. I see a lot of H&P Flex Rigs over the deeper S. TX gas plays

Bought a 96 lx450 a month ago from @catfishhands. 96 lx450 with 168000 miles, 2.5" Dobinson lift, 37" cooper discovery pros, fn wheels. Might go down to 35s yet. Don't really need the 37s.

So far it's been an interesting journey. Always have wanted an 80 after having grown up with them. The body and interior were kinda trashed so starting on that. I took the seats out to clean the carpets and this is what happened.

Guess now there's new carpet in the garage and new leather seat covers coming. Got the bumper installed yesterday

Keep the 37s. 35s aren't exactly DD friendly either if that's what you're after.

I wish I went 37

Well if I had what I wanted it would have been a white LC with steel wheels and 255 80s. This one came along and the price was right and the mechanicals were in good shape so I went for it.
