I started fabricating some sliders for myself. Got the frame mounts done then bent up some 1.75 DOM. I recently did a 1" body lift and raised my catalytic converter so the slider supports can come straight off the frame on all six mounts. I'm not sure what I want to do for the bracing inside the slider frame yet.

I have tried to bend those frame brackets before. Pain! What is your trick?

White's a great color but are you even looking at this blue? I mean come on.

Those three are definitely the worst, the green is the best of the three though...it isn't THAT bad.

Black + chrome...man it doesn't get any worse :flipoff2:
Yeah it does, white and black sunnies...the epitome of cookie cutter. Live a little, dare to be different

Fun filled weekend.

Cruiser got a new bed, and Sunday we drove up Buckhorn Road to Penncock Pass. Great day, perfect fall weather. It was one of those days with the Cruiser and the family where you wish the day wouldn't end.

On the down-side, dog isn't doing so well. Walking is difficult for her and I tried to pick her up in the same way I always have and she yelped....she may be passing on to the great wheeling trail in the sky in the very near future. We've known she's had cancer for about a year and opted for pain management after the life she's had (both front legs scoped, scraped, and rebuilt, laser eye surgery, eye removed, spleen removed, mass removed off her chest, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something) She's been my climbing partner, backpacking partner, and protector of the family for the last 13 years, I couldn't ask for a better friend.

Is this with a 30mm coil spacer up front? could you post another pic or 2, looking at going with 315's when I return from deployment. Thanks

Only pic I got with the 30mm spacer up front. Will send some when I get a chance. You may want to look into going with a heavy up front and medium in rear. Shouldn't need spacer with that or a J spring in front.

Anyone have any ideas why my oem bushings were installed in this orientation while the fsm showed otherwise? Should I install it back this way or follow the fsm? Thanks

MIxing things up a bit... Going for a quick backpacking trip before the snow flies...

:bounce:
I'm all about backpacking after the snow flies. We wheel in and then hit the snow shoes. Late January early feburary. It won't be Baha but we do need a wake up call once in a while. Are you down?

I installed this cool transfer case knob from Red Line Land Cruisers!

I feel your pain bro! When I came back from my last, and final, tour in Iraq my wife and daughters helped me find an Australian Sheppard puppy. I was having a rough time dealing in "the world", and with my daughters both away at college, and the wife working 60, 70 hours a week, quickly bonded with my new pup! Now that I'm retired, she helps me deal on a day to day basis! She's going on 6, but I know 12-16 is about normal life for bigger dogs. I don't know what I'll do when she goes.... I'm 6', Retired, USMC Grunt that isn't scared of anything, but I AM terrified of the day my Aussie is no longer with me, I know I'll be crying like a little school boy! My "Olivia" runs in the shotgun seat while wheeling, and she attracts beautiful ladies wherever we stop! I feel your pain man.... they ARE family, plus they always are ready to go wheelin! Hang in there bro....

We don't have a dog, but a 16 year old heathy (as far as I can tell) cat.
She has been our daughter (we consider her our first born) ever since she was only a few weeks old. Always sleeps on our bed, comes with me to the toilet in the middle of the night, jumping off the bed on a hard wood floor. She always talks to me, not anybody else in my family.
Most nights she comes close to my head after I get inside the bed stays there for a few seconds (as if she wants to say "good night") and them goes to the foot of the bed. During the night she alternates between sleeping at my feet and my wife's feet.

I know the day is coming and it terrifies both of us. It's a horrible feeling.

Mervo, your dog has been through a lot and it's truly unfair for a "best friend" to have to go through all that. Just spend time with her, as it will less and less with every passing day. Regrets are horrible after the fact. It won't change anything, but she will appreciate your caring and friendship during her suffering.
