i bought a set of 2.5 inch rear ironman springs for my fj62, but sold it before the install. is there anything useful i can do with these on my 40? or should i just sell em'. 40 is lifted a couple inches and running 33's. not looking to do anything drastic, but will probably keep it springunder and eventually go 35ish.

If you find out, LMK too! I've had a set of those hanging around for 10 years now!

Hi All:

Well, you could certainly install those FJ62 leaf springs under under FJ40, although it won't be an easy "bolt-in!" :D

I don't remember for sure, but I think the front 60/62 Series leaf springs are about the same length, or slightly longer than stock 40/45 Series front springs. The rear 60/62 Series springs are definitely longer; installing these will move the rig's rear axle back about four inches.

Combining these leaf springs with some fender trimming you could probably run some 35 inch tires on the FJ40.

Anyhow, it would be a completely custom set-up; not sure if you are willing, and/or able to take on a project like this.

Regards,

Alan
