The paint shop that is painting all of my body parts (FJ body parts that is) called today. They flipped over my tub to weld some metal in some holes where I used to have an auxillary gas tank installed behind the rear cross member. They noticed some square "U" shaped supports that had been hammered down flat to make room for the gas tank. I immediately thought they might be some body support brackets but the painter said that they did not have any holes in them for bolts. Any help or insights would be appreciated.

Tequila - so you took your body apart and it the pieces to the paint shop? why didnt I think of that. I have been mulling over how do get a great paint job with top and bottom, inside and out - I am not good at paint prep and finish - and was hesitant to just give the truck to a shop knowing they wouldnt get to all the hard to reach places.
