So... I appreciate all of y'all's responses and advice with my hardtop project so far. I marked my rivet hole locations and I'm about to drill...
The aluminum ones that Cool Cruisers sent me look like straight mushrooms. I'll attach pics so you see what I mean. I've only ever used the rivet gun style. I think they want me to put rebar on the back side and hit it with a hammer? I don't like that. But on the other hand, I'm wondering if this style will be flat on the bottom side of the roof cap rather than sticking through 1/8" like a normal rivet.
Also, some folks were saying CCOT's rivets are too large..? What size should they be?
