Does anyone have a decent solution to plug the holes where the whale tails once attached to?
I was thinking some kind of rubber plugs but was wondering what others have done. Thanks!

Easy enough. Thanks. I was thinking rubber plugs. Bolts and silicone sound way easier. They may not look as finished though. Thanks!

For anyone else interested I might just silicone these on for a more finished look.

One of the smaller vendors here makes a light bracket that uses those holes for mounting. Then you can put a pod light up there, if that's your inclination/use.

Be damned if I can remember who though.

That looks more like the “wind deflector” and less like the “whale tail”.

Our solution for my son’s 2000 LC:

Rear Wind Deflector

Mine had a tangle with a kayak on the roof when I opened the lift gate like an idiot. Anyone have one that they don't want or have any luck finding this part? Everywhere I look online says that the part is discontinued. I'm talking about the black plastic wind deflector, not the whale tail style...
