Weird Stall Today (1 Viewer)

Y kid and I did a little trail riding today, nothing serious. I pulled up a hill to turn around. I got to the top of the hill, left it in drive but rolled backwards to turn around. I went about 10' backwards and truck stalled out. Dead. It's never died before. It started right back up and we continued on without further incident. Why did it stall from rolling backwards? Is this a sign of an impending problem?

Its not meant to go in reverse when in drive. Jams up the tourque converter and stalls it out. Happens to me if I bounce off a obstacle and get pushed in reverse while in drive. No biggie. Just throw in nuetral and all is good.

Search - it's been discussed before. Roll backwards in a forward gear and the 80 will stall.

Well hell. Never had that happen in ANY of my other rigs before!!!! Weird. Ok, it's normal for this beast. Cool and thanks!
